At the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra, we have numerous opportunities for student engagement. Whether you’re looking to fulfill volunteer hours, gain stage crew experience, or attend a concert at a discount, this is the place!
Volunteer
Concert volunteer positions include ushers, ticket takers, and wayfinding. We also utilize volunteers at our outreach events throughout the community.
Concert volunteers are encouraged to stay and enjoy the concert for free once their volunteer duties conclude.

Stage Crew
Stage Crew loads in instruments, risers, and other stage equipment before a concert and strikes after a concert.
Compensation per shift is $30 and one comp ticket. Both load-in and strike take approximately one hour each.
Volunteers are also accepted and will still receive a comp ticket.
Crew requirements include ability to lift 50 pounds, wearing closed toe shoes, and authorization to work in the US (not applicable for volunteers).
