The Lafayette Symphony Orchestra Gala takes place on Friday, May 1st at The Stables Event Center. It’s an evening designed to celebrate an incredible year of music, look ahead to what’s next, and rally around the power of live performance in our community. The 2026 McPherson String Scholarship is now open!
The LSO McPherson String Scholarship was created in 1998 by Dr. and Mrs. Richard C. McPherson in honor of their children, Gregg A. McPherson and Kimberly McPherson, to encourage and stimulate interest in string-playing proficiency.
Applications are due May 1, 2026.
